Write a 100-word paragraph describing your project, and which tools you used in iMovie and GarageBand. In other words, how did you make your project? Can you think of ways in which we could improve the project in the future? What problems did you encounter in making this project? Leave some words of advice for the incoming classes.
This project was probably the most time consuming out of all the projects we've done so far this trimester. It involved doing some research, citing everything, finding pictures, and getting music. Plus I had to map everything out and figure out the order of things and how it would be presented in the final outcome. I basically started by making the title page background which involved about 20 individual pictures. Citing every single one of them took the longest, along with the other citations. I knew that the particular genre of Broadway musicals would be easy to find the history for, but with the time limit on the movie, I could only research so much so that I could have enough time to present things such as composers and a few different shows from the '70's. So whenever I found bits and pieces of good information and facts, I went ahead and put it into the iMovie project. Then I threw in a few composers from the time period to name and I had to make decisions on what shows I wanted to recognize in the project, along with the song sample. So I published the finished movie with pictures and movement only without music, which I added using Garageband, which also took a while like the citing. The only 2 main problems I faced was that I almost got carried away with making the project too long; it was almost 6 and a half minutes long! So I had to cut a few things and shorten clips. Then the other was that the finished product was too large send in an email, so I have it on my flash drive and ready to be presented. I can't really think of anything that would need improvement to make this project any easier, but a word of advice would be that it's a project that can take up a lot of time and you really have to work at it to get it done on time. But if you choose a music genre you really like, or love for that matter, it shouldn't be very difficult at all, like for me, because I really love the musicals from the 1970's!

Reflection Questions for PND Movie Project:
Write a 100-word paragraph describing your group's continued work on the PND Culture movie. What additions or changes did you make from the original storyboard? Did you change job assignments for anyone in your group? How do you feel about the finished project? What changes would you make in the future?
After we submitted our storyboard for the movie itself, we went ahead into making every slide from the Powerpoint into pictures to put into iMovie. We came up with the order and the transitions we wanted for the movie. We watched it through a number of times and did some resizing of pictures. Some things we changed were on our own decision such as removing the Powerpoint text and adding in text that moves. But our instructor gave us a few things to correct as well such as grammar touch ups and time duration. We did not really change assignments in the group. I've seen the finished result only once and i think it turned out great.

Blog Post Assignment Reflection Questions for Vocal Podcast (Movie Review) Project:
1. What tools and techniques did you use to create your podcast?
I used things like the vocal track, music track, and image track. I learned about adjusting the volume of the music for different parts in the podcast.
2. How could you use a project like this in other classes?
i could probably use it for any kind of project in any history or bio class. I could use it to describe different species of animals with many pictures for a bio class.
3. In the “real world”, how could podcast projects be used (In what careers/businesses, etc.)?
In general, podcasts can to use to broadcast news and weather reports among a city or a community.
4. What part of the assignment was easy for you? What was difficult?
Finding the music was very easy, since i knew ahead of time what i wanted to use. Probably the actual recording of me speaking was a bit difficult to get the timing right and such.
5. What part of the directions would you like to clarify?
Probably on how long a picture can show, like a minimum or a maximum. i have about 2 or 3 pictures that show for 25 seconds or more.

Blog #4: PND Culture Storyboard Group Project
Compose a 100-word paragraph reflecting what you contributed to the PND Storyboard project. What changes would you like to make to the project before it becomes a "movie"?
My contribution to the PND Culture project was to do any part of it that was technical. I put the slideshow together, even with the help of Caylee for designs, and i will do the technical field of work when we make the project into a movie. So far I don't see very many changes. We still need to put Jarod's name to give him credit for the works cited, however. But overall, the storyboard looks great and should be ready to be made into a movie. I may need to reteach myself how to use the iMovie maker; even though I used it over our Christmas break, I'm still confused with the different fields and options.

1. Which search terms did you use to find images (for the letters of your name and the images that describe you) and why?
I used many terms such as "photos that look like letters", "art", "biking", "Christmas", "Chicago Bears", and more. I got all my photos from Google.2. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
Overall I learned how to do more with iPhoto. I learned how to make a photo album into a small slideshow with transitions and music.
3. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation.
In my future, I want to make a slideshow of pictures that "go in time", as in pictures from my parents wedding to the present day. I can choose the theme music that would go with each stage of life, depending on the photos.
4. This was a more creative project than our first 2. Did you prefer it or the more cut and dry assignments in Word and Excel?
I liked this one much better than the others because i got to be really creative with the several pictures I found to make up the letters of my name, and plus i took a few of my own for the things i like ir describe me.
Assignment: Blog about our Charity Appeal Letter MailMerge/Contact List Project - offering reflections on your work.
1. List the name of your business and its charity.
Coca Cola Company/Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities (ARMHC)
2. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
I learned, once again, the different skills in Excel, and I learned how to use mail merge, which was the purpose of this project.
3. What was the easiest part of this project? What was the most difficult part of this project?
The easiest part was making the address list in Excel. Figuring out how to word the letter was a bit difficult for me.
4. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation other than writing a charity letter.
I could use these applications to send out multiple invites to a party.
5. Did you learn something new during this project that you did not know before? If so, what? [Your response to this question can be related to the information, skills, or process of the project.]
Yes, I've learned, not only in this project, but in the M&M project, that Excel isn't that hard to use. And i learned the easiest way to make multiple letters or documents instead of writing one several times.

Blog Reflection Questions for m&m comparison spreadsheet project:
1. What tools in Excel did you use to create your project?
I used the auto sum option and the tools to help me form my pie graph.
2. What parts of the project confused you? Why?
At first, the auto sum confused me because i thought i was gonna have to memorize different formulas. But then i realized all you had to do was highlight what you wanted to add up and click the auto sum button at the top. Easy!
3. What “extras” (colors, decorations, etc.) did you add to your project?
I only added a title to my pie chart, color coordinated it, and added a background color.
4. What are some ways to tell if you did the project correctly?
I can check and click on the different cells to check the auto sums. The pie chart should be accurate.
5. What are some other uses you may have for a simple excel spreadsheet?
I could us it to compare prices from the 1950s such as gas and different food. Plus other needs. Or for a rate in change for a science class.
